A/Prof Joseph earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Kerala in 1988 before relocating to Australia, where he completed his Master of Dental Science (MDSc) and PhD in Oral Pathology at the University of Queensland. Following his advanced studies, he joined the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Queensland as a Senior Lecturer. He holds prestigious fellowships from the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FFOP RCPA) and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) in Oral Medicine.
