Dr Matt Thyer is a West Australian trained Private Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.

Matt obtained a PhD by research, and an MBBS in Perth from The University of Western of Australia. He undertook his specialty fellowship training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) principally in Perth at King Edward, Joondalup and Osborne Park Hospitals and Bunbury Regional Hospital.

Matt offers comprehensive Gynaecology care where he has particular expertise in complex laparoscopic keyhole surgery (for endometriosis, hysterectomies, fibroids, ovarian cysts etc) and pelvic floor reconstruction (for vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction following birth and menopause). Beyond Matt’s fellowship training he spent several years operating and working alongside Dr Bruce Thyer who has contributed significantly to developing his skills and expertise. They have developed, modified and improved several surgical procedures together. Matt endeavours to generously give time to help patients feel comfortable and address health concerns during consultations.
