FRACS FAOrthA FMH
I fell in love with the Perth lifestyle while studying at Milner International College in 2005. I grew up near Zürich, Switzerland, where I graduated Medical School in 2011 and then completed my training in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery with honours in 2017. After working as a consultant surgeon in Lower Limb Sports and Arthroplasty Surgery we moved to Perth in 2019 to seek new challenges.
Over the subsequent 3 years I undertook extensive Australian subspeciality training. This includes Fellowships in Hip & Knee Replacement (The Joint Studio), the Perth Sports Surgery Fellowship with A/Prof Peter D’Alessandro and colleagues focussing on arthroscopic knee reconstructive and preservation surgery, the Primary and Revision Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Fellowship with Prof Piers Yates and A/Prof Chris Jones as well as two Trauma Fellowships at Fiona Stanley Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital.
Following this broad Western Australian experience I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Rockingham General Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital and it is a privilege to continue to work alongside my previous mentors – now counting them as close friends and colleagues.
I have achieved Specialist recognition in Australia, and successfully completed the Australian Fellowship Exams. I am an active Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA).
I am fluent in English, German, Swiss German and some French.
