Michael Levitt is a General and Colorectal Surgeon who has a special interest in proctology (haemorrhoids, fissure, fistula), pilonidal sinus surgery, hernia surgery and functional bowel disease (constipation, evacuation disorders and anal incontinence).

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at UWA and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons; he undertook specialist coloproctological training in the United Kingdom. He was a Specialist Colorectal Surgeon at SCGH from 1990 – 2005 and has been in private practice at St John of God Subiaco Hospital for over 30 years.

He is currently a Director on the Board of St John of God Health Care and a Clinician Member of the Medical Board of WA. He has previously been Director of Medical Services at St John of God Subiaco Hospital and is currently the Chief Medical Officer with the WA Department of Health.
