After hours GP Stream - Joondalup Health Campus
Experienced GPs wanted — new GP After Hours service at Joondalup Health Campus.
Dedicated GP space, access to ED-speed results, nurse support. $300/hr (fee for service arrangement)
GP Position | Fee for Service ($300ph fixed hourly rate) | Joondalup, WA
Joondalup Health Campus has launched a new After-Hours GP service and we are seeking experienced GPs to join us.
Location
You will work in your own dedicated GP consulting room / treatment room aligned with the emergency department at Joondalup Health Campus. You will see GP level patients from the ED waiting room.
Patient Mix
Patients present directly to ED and are reviewed by triage before you see them. Patients seen in the service are low acuity patients, selected by yourself from the triage provided to fit within your scope of GP experience
What makes this role different?
You have access to fast turnaround ED pathology and radiology — results generally back during your session. If a patient needs escalation, the ED team is close by and available to collaborate. Shared software means seamless handover with no duplication. Dedicated nurse to support you.
The rate
$300 per hour, fixed hourly rate, fee for service arrangement
Paid orientation time prior to commencing
Hours
Currently 6pm–10pm Monday to Sunday with a flexible roster. We are accepting applications for ad hoc or regular shifts - several per week or even once a fortnight depending on your commitments. We are actively looking at how the service grows and GPs joining now will have a genuine say in how that happens.
Suitable for
Experienced community GPs - While community GP experience is all that is required for this role, those with urgent care, rural or after-hours experience will also find this a rewarding addition to community work
Qualifications must include FRACGP or equivalent. This role is unfortunately not suitable for doctors who require supervision (including supervised IMG pathways) as the requirements cannot be met within the structure of this service
