What is PrEP? Coformulated tenofovir and emtricitabine (TDF/FTC) has been proven to be effective as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV. When taken as prescribed, PrEP can reduce the risk of sexually transmitted HIV by up to 99%.
