Iron Infusions and Hypophosphataemia

Iron deficiency anaemia is a common condition that can have a significant impact on a patient’s quality of life. The incidence of iron deficiency anaemia in Australia is estimated to be 12% in non-pregnant and up to 15% of pregnant females.1 Iron deficiency without anaemia may be up to three times more common but is often undiagnosed.
